Would this necklace be appropriate for a Catholic?

I saw a necklace that was listed as Catholic, but I had never seen it before it had the Greek letters for alpha and omega written vertically. I thought it was interesting just because lots of people have a cross, but I have never seen one like this. Would it be appropriate for me to wear it?
I like it because it seems different to me, but at the same time I don’t see people wearing it so I wasn’t sure if there was a reason.
I am aware that Jesus refered to Himself as the alpha and the omega, which is what sparked my interest. My concern was that since I have never seen one worn, there may have been some reason to which I was unaware.

The Alpha and Omega have been used as a Christian symbol for centuries, often superimposed over a cross. I think it would be a perfectly appropriate pendant for any Catholic to wear.
